Welcome to parksisters.com! It goes without saying that, yes, we are sisters. We're also authors of books for both adults and children. Many people ask us: How in the world do you two write together? Hmm, that's a really good question. The truth is, every book is a different experience. Sometimes Frances comes up with a concept, and Ginger fleshes it out. Sometimes it's the other way around. We write humorous books, serious books, inspired books, and some books that just come out of the blue. We have a rule about rules: There are none.
Our most recent adult novel To Swim Across the World (now available in paperback) was inspired by our parents' experiences growing up during Korea's most turbulent era from 1941-1953. Writing To Swim Across the World has changed the way we live our lives and see the world.
Good-bye, 382 Shin Dang Dong, a lyrical story of a child's worries about moving and her ultimate resilience, was recently published.
